The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.

Pinelands Preservation Alliance
The New Jersey Pinelands
occupy 1.1 million acres, almost 1/4 of the state.
This expanse is the largest tract of open space between Maine and Virginia.
The uplands are mostly Pitch Pine, Blackjack Oak, and Scrub Oak. The soil is
acidic and sandy.
There are Timber Rattlesnakes, Northern Pine Snakes and Eastern Corn Snakes.
Within the Pinelands are areas used as cranberry bogs and blueberry fields.
